June 2026

June 14, 2026
  • Age on Family Member Look-Up — Living members with a known date of birth now show their current age to one decimal point (e.g., "69.5 years old as of June 14, 2026") above their date of birth on the result card.
  • Show/hide password — Every password field on the site now has an eye icon button so you can reveal or hide what you are typing while signing in or changing your password.
  • Records & Activity in Admin Tools — Pending Edits, Recent Changes, and Activity have moved out of the Edit page into a dedicated "Records & Activity" page under Admin Tools, keeping the Edit page focused on data entry.
  • Nicknames in all dropdowns — Every family member selection dropdown across the site now shows each person's nickname if they have one.
  • Login accepts nickname or first name — Members with a nickname can sign in using either their nickname or their formal first name.
  • Sortable People and Households tables — On the Edit page, both the People and Households tables can now be sorted by clicking any column header. Hold Shift and click a second column to sort on two fields at once.
  • Site Audit Notes — Administrators can access a summary of the June 2026 quality review from Admin Tools.
  • Dark mode — All pages now respond correctly when a device is set to dark mode, with a consistent color scheme throughout.
  • Mobile navigation — On smaller phone screens, the navigation menu now wraps cleanly instead of running off the edge of the screen.

  • Family Member Look-Up — A new search tool where any member can type a name and instantly see that person's contact card, including phone numbers, email, date of birth, and a clickable link to their address in Google Maps.
  • Admin preview mode — Administrators can now switch to a "non-admin preview" to see exactly what the site looks like to a regular family member, then return to their admin view with one click.
  • Sign-Up Sheets — member list — The dropdown when adding someone to an event now shows a member's nickname (if they have one), and no longer includes deceased members.
  • Edit request email — The confirmation email sent after submitting an edit request now includes a note about the expected turnaround time.
  • Phone number formatting — Hyphens are now added automatically as you type a phone number (XXX-XXX-XXXX), and numbers with fewer than 10 digits are not accepted.

  • Sign-Up Sheets — A new section where an administrator can create events (holiday gatherings, potlucks, etc.), set up categories with quantity limits, and invite family members to sign up. Members can claim and unclaim slots. Past events are stored and viewable separately.
  • Group Email — Administrators can now send an email to the entire family or to targeted groups directly from the site.
  • Admin Tools — A new hub in the navigation gives administrators a central menu for site management functions.
  • Household delete — The confirmation step when deleting a household now shows how many people are currently listed at that address, reducing the chance of an accidental deletion.
  • Birthdays & Anniversaries print — Improved layout so the full list fits on one page, including on iPhones. A reminder now prompts users to select Legal-size paper for the best result.

  • Reports page — A new page with two printable/downloadable documents: the full Family List and the Birthdays & Anniversaries calendar. Both can be downloaded as PDF files or printed directly from the browser.
  • Edit request workflow — Non-admin members can submit edit requests, which administrators can review, approve, or reject. Both the submitter and the administrator receive email notifications at each step.
  • Clickable contact info — Phone numbers and email addresses on the Family List are now clickable links.

  • Undo recent changes — Administrators can now undo individual edits from the Recent Changes list.
  • Admin-only editing — Write access is now limited to administrators. Regular members submit edit requests for review rather than editing directly.
